about 20 minutes later. the test considered routine was in advance of a planned saturday launch. luckily no one was hurt in that huge accident. a satellite built by israel aerospace industries was also destroyed. mark zuckerberg says facebook was planning to use some of the satellite's capacity to expand its initiative in africa. now to decision 2016. donald trump is once again on the campaign trail today. this after a quick trip immigration plan here in the valley taking a hard line approach on millions of immigrants in the u.s. illegally. his message, send them home. team 12's tracey potts is in washington with reaction. >> reporter: donald trump in arizona last night. >> mexico will pay for the wall. opportunity to too. >> definitely a lot of passion, political opinions surrounding the visit. he campaigns in ohio today. and hillary clinton's campaign plans to begin airing television ads tomorrow in arizona. the clinton campaign believes arizona can be a bing state this -- swing state this year. the campaign comes on the heels of donald trump's immigration here. meanwhile, there are still more than 80,000 ballots to be counted from tuesday's election from the primary. up in the air. make sure you stay with for all of your election updates. well some parts of the valley planning to see some rain today as we take a look outside. we see some clouds in the sky. meteorologist krystle henderson has been tracking the radar. what are some chances for showers? >> they got an upgrade. we have storms erupting right now dotting the state from the northwest all the way down to the southeast with hundreds of

of several protests. the phoenix business journal reports the dolphins arrived from california, a swim with the dolphins exhibit is set to open either this month or next. well two people are displaced this afternoon after a house fire. that fire started about 9:00 last night. the home suffered a lot of damage. investigators will be working today to figure out what caused it. a woman who ran over her boyfriend after finding out that he had hiv was mike penced today to more than -- sentenced today to moran years behind bar. she pled guilty to the assault charge and other charge -- another charge for leaving the scene of the crime. after the impact of the car, the man was left with a fractured vertebrae and staples in his head. a court hearing this morning for the woman accused of killing her three sons. the judge sent a tentative trial date. that being for february 16th. earlier this summer, the bodies of rogers' three sons were found in a closet.

the auto steer will disengage and tones will sound off until the vehicle is parked. two astronauts are walking in space today. they're on bored the space station. you can find more about that walk and watch a video. this will be the 100 95th space walk from the iss. it's for maintenance and assembly. severe weather alert happening in florida as people there in some low lying communities are being asked to evacuate asro hermine approaches the gulf coast. the national hurricane center expects hermine to become a hurricane before it makes landfall in the big bend area tonight or early tomorrow temperature the tallahassee newspaper there says officials in franklin county have issued a mandatory evacuation notice for people living 0 -- living on various places. people in other areas are being asked to evacuate. pretty scary there. >> no doubt about that.

pampa. they're getting rain and localized flooding. meanwhile back here in the valley it's a very different story. here's a live look from the roof cam looking over at camelback mountain. krystle that means chance for rain. >> it sure does. but i want to begin by wishing all of you a very happy first day of fall. am i getting some weird looks. i thought i might. >> yeah. >> it depends on who you talk it's the first day of meteorological fall. today the first official day of astronomical fall will actually be september 22nd. so we have time for that. and basically the difference between the two is for meteorologists we like to break it up by calendar months so it's easier for forecasting when you're comparing how the season actually turned out where astronomical fall has to do with the tilt of the earth and orbit.

august. it actually turns out that there were more at or below average days than there were above average temperatures despite the streak, the trifecta there of above average temperatures we just underwent. let's get you ready for the cardinals game tonight. always keep your eye to the sky this afternoon. there is that chance for a stray shower and storm. so a mixture of 101. by game time 97. still that chance. keep your ears perked for storms out there. also blowing dust possible. then this evening, is stray storms still in the cards for us. 90 degrees by the time the game wraps up. so here's a thing about the temperatures today. it's so steamy out there that it's going to make it feel worse. so at any given time today you'll need to add 3 to 4 degrees to what the thermometer actually says for that feelings-like temperatures. so again, can't take those numbers at face value today.
